A Better Comparison Shopping Engine
Setting up a comparison shopping engine can be a daunting task, especially if you are alien to dynamic web development. I will admit my site is affiliate based but it is a less expensive way for merchants to list products and services. No longer do merchants have to pay for a mere click, but only commission for sales. I will also admit I have had some help from a third party, but their services have allowed me to concentrate on promotion of my site. This is a project I really believe in and I hope it brings in a new era to affiliate marketing.

Comparison shopping hit the web a few years ago and has spawned many sites that offer this service. The tools available help consumers choose the best deal on a specific product. Personally I have used comparison engines and I enjoy this style of online shopping. An affiliate driven site offers an advantage to the merchant by setting up a commission based program. Most established comparison shopping engines charge per click. If you review some of the major shopping engines you will see fairly high percentages per click. Affiliate driven shopping engine commission percentages are very similar on average offering a big advantage to the merchant. Now even small merchants can provide products to the consumer.

Conversion ratios drive affiliate marketing. The art of converting clicks into sales can involve many hours of SEO, keyword optimization being the most important. Using merchant product feeds bring millions of automatically updating keywords to your site. With a high page rank, and good indexing on major search engines you can bring high quality targeted traffic to your site with relative ease. Building customer confidence also can help with conversion ratios. A comparison shopping engine offers a free service to the consumer, not a misleading site that acts like an actual merchant.
